Had to spend the day in Missoula to chase down and fix the dreaded EFI fuse contact burn out in the 99 LC100. Read about it earlier as a not too uncommon "cranks but doesn't start" cause and indeed after bypassing this fuse the truck runs again. Funny enough this happened after getting groceries...

Does anybody have pinion + ring gear set of the early FJ40 stock 4.11 ratio (9 teeth pinion + 37 teeth ring gear) laying around? Maybe unused after regearing? I came across this victim of water ingress caused by a loose pinion lock nut. It appears hard to find these gear sets new, even the ones...

Started on rebuilding the axles of the '67, too late for SAS 2026 unfortunately :frown: The restored and coated frame patiently waits in the background, at least one step up from a year ago, lots of plasma cutting and welding in new 2x4 3/16" sections past winter:

Welcome back! Did the same trip in summer '24 with the local boy scouts troop for a 10 day canoe trek. Camped at a couple places along the way, great memories.

Possibly in for Saturday only, need to run an errant that day in the area. Plan to stop by at the OHV park mid morning-ish. Is there a way to find out what trail(s) you're on in the park? I have a GMRS radio on board or cell, no HAM.

Congrats! Great hike, was there a couple years ago before I had the LC, drove then in a 4Runner that came with the rented cabin to the Radio Towers as starting point. Great to see 4WD's can still follow that trail further up on the south rim. Good memories.

For what it's worth, installed these brass generic ¨Joywayus 3/4"x5/8"x3/4" ID Hose Reducing Barb Tee 3 Way Union Fitting Intersection/Split Brass Water/Fuel/Air" 3 years ago together with new stock hoses on a 99 LC100. Looks like the same are still available on amazon.

No where near KC but this one near Tokyo threw me off, a 100 disguised as a 60? They love their black and chrome cars there though.
