    I made Pastrami this weekend

The corned beef is really salty to begin with and the salt in the rub makes it a little to salty. I know this from experience. Some people soak the corned beef in water for up to 8 hours to de-brine it a bit. I simply gave it a good rinsing and I thought it was just right with the no...

    I made Pastrami this weekend

I took a corned beef, rubbed it with my brisket rub minus the salt and smoked it for 10 hours. For samiches, I put it on a French roll, with some Swiss cheese and put it in the toaster oven at 350 for 4 minutes. I then put on a small amount of Dijon mustard and toped with deli coleslaw...

    HVAC UV Air Purifier

I called tech support and they recommended the more powerful version that goes above the evaporator. As Trollhole stated you get the benefit of keeping the coil clean of mold and mildew and the air passing through the system gets zapped. The fan runs all the time and is variable speed. it...

    HVAC UV Air Purifier

I just got a new HVAC system installed and I think it would be nice to complete it with a UV air Purifier. There is not a lot of information about these but the HVAC guy highly recommended one and told me that I could save a lot of $$$ installing it myself. I read that you need at least a 36...

    The annual standing rib thread.

Made my annual Christmas Eve Prime rib on the Holland Grill. 11 pounds this year. A regional grocery chain sells certified angus rib roast for $6.99 per pound during the Xmas season. It was so good.

The best spice mix out there!

Looks interesting. I will look for it at Costco. I usually make my own rubs and sauces. There are a lot of really good sites that have recipes. I have used a couple recipes from the site below and have been pleased with the results. http://bbqpitboys.com/sauces-rubs-marinades

Bryant 113/114 Air Conditioner leaking water

It is most likely clogged in the section that has a dip in it to make a water trap. Blow at the very end where it drains to the floor. Put you hand around the pipe and blowgun to make a seal. If that don't work, plug the furnace drain with a wet rag or cork and blow again. If that still...
