I know nothing about fuel injection engines…but on a carbed engine you could buy an electric fuel pump at any auto parts store for less than $50 which would get you home.
Those familiar with fuel injection engines can chime in to see if this could work for you.
If so…elec fuel pumps are...
They pulled me out of a big hole in 2019…they helped me & did not make a dime.
I was rebuilding my 2f & trying to finish in time to drive to SAS. I could not find the pistons I needed & might have to miss my long awaited trip to SAS in Colorado. I looked high & low…could not locate what I...
Yes, a bad fuel filter could cause your symptoms. If you have the type filter where you can see in/around the filter just check if debris is sitting at the bottom.
And if not, new fuel filter for a 60 cost maybe $15 and takes 5 minutes to install.
Ok, quoting myself here. Just did an oil change & decided to switch back to Mobil one 15w-50; ( I’ve used it in the past, not sure why I switched to Rotella which is also a great oil for our 2f’s…but Mobil One it is!)
On another forum someone posted a response directly from Mobil regarding...
@Spike Strip Thanks, I’ve got 1 more Rotella oil change on the shelf & then I may try the Mobil 15-50. I’ve considered this for some time but I had those 2 concerns. I know it’s a good oil & much easier to find,👍
@Spike Strip I like the easy availability of M1 15-50. A couple of questions for you please…What are your thoughts on:
1) it’s Zinc amount if you know.
2) how does it fare with it being Syn & maybe leaking more.
I’d like to feel comfortable using it because of its easily availability @...
Nah, just me…thank goodness. And here’s a picture 30 minutes after the flop of the real heroes of this flop. No broken glass, no broken mirrors & no dents. Scratches that will buff out…well that is if I ever buy any wax.🤔
And my friends got to test out their winches. (You’re welcome😁)
Yep @CenTXFJ60 it was a very awesome day for sure. Being with you guys on such an epic Run will be in my memory bank forever. Maureen had a tremendous time too.😎
Came back from a trail ride late last night & didn’t notice this. As I was packing this morning I looked at the odometer. I’ve had this baby for 24 years now. Accounting for larger than OEM tires during this time…easily over 400k on this 60.
Some of my more enjoyable miles were put on...
Time will tell, but I believe I got lucky with this part being in great shape. The housing was a bit different than the one on my 60, this may have been off of a 62??
But when I removed the motor in order to install it into my housing, I got a good look at its brushes etc. etc. Everything...
Ok, all fixed. Fortunately SAS9 is about 1 hour from Proffits Cruisers & they fixed me up with a good used fan motor. Was not a direct fit but took the ‘new’ motor out & put it in the old housing. All good now. The brushes AND the armature both were shot on the old motor.
👍👌👍
