Ash tray delete / Qi wireless charging pad - ‘14 LC200

I got the measurements, but haven’t had the time to do the 3D printed prototypes yet.

Wouldn't start after driven without key FOB and then parked for ~1 week (SOLVED and lessons learned in case other experience it)

Long story short... had a friend take family to airport in my '14 LC200 and drove away while I still had the key FOBs (turns out it drives FINE without key FOB as long as you don't turn it off :/). We had to catch a flight so that person drove the vehicle to my house, parked it, turned off...

Ash tray delete / Qi wireless charging pad - ‘14 LC200

It should fit width of a large phone like iPhone 12 Pro Max or Samsung Galaxy Note 20, but expecting that length of base will have to protrude out in front some. So need do some experimentation to see if it could work. Other path would be to replace the whole assembly for the ash tray and 12V...

Ash tray delete / Qi wireless charging pad - ‘14 LC200

My next step will be to try to prototype a flat pad that will fit in the ash tray rails. It’s not MagSafe (and unsure of quality), but was thinking about trying a Qi pad like this:

Ash tray delete / Qi wireless charging pad - ‘14 LC200

Has anyone attempted replacing the ash tray with a QI wireless charging pad, similar to the newer 200 series models? The ash tray assembly can be removed and there seems to be sufficient space for this. May require some 3D printing to get it fitted right. Before I dig in to try to solve this...

yep, all correct and valid points. i think it depends on the use case(s). been eying the garmin/inreach and the reason i went satpaq is the following: main use cases: - off-roading in vehicle with power source (e.g., Moab etc.) - weekend back country skiing, mountain biking, and...

Satpaq two-way satellite phone attachment messenger

I just recently got a Satpaq (SatPaq) unit that connects to your iPhone or Android phone via an app (SpaceLinq) and allow you to send and receive text messages, get weather info, or send SOS with GPS location. What was attractive about this unit, as opposed to Garmin/Inreach Explorer+/mini and...

KISS Drawers (Keep It Simple Storage) for 200s

I I used ‘Pass the Bubbly’ from Monstaliner. However, it’s a tad light. You may want to go ‘Desert Sand’ if you want a more exact match with the interior.

KISS Drawers (Keep It Simple Storage) for 200s

Yes, exactly. Was planning on adding a slotted piece of metal for support as well, but just the 5-6mm slot seems fine thus far.

KISS Drawers (Keep It Simple Storage) for 200s

Installed drawers with T-handles and sprayed with U-pol Raptor liner tinted with Monstaliner color pigment. Still need to add three Macs Versatie tie down tracks and a front chrome 90 trim moulding piece, but they turned out great. Thanks @cruzerDave! KISS Drawers with U-pol by jexx45 posted...

Thanks Dave. Good to go on the wings. My mistake. Will post pics from Moab this weekend after I get newly painted drawers re-installed.

KISS Drawers (Keep It Simple Storage) for 200s

@cruzerDave: First of all, fantastic quality work and great job on the 200 drawers! One thing in the guide that threw me off, I believe that steps 20 and 33 that references 15 screws should actually say 18, or? Also, question... extra holes in the middle of the side wings that don’t align with...

That was exactly my thought. Putting mine together next day or so and will try as well.

KISS Drawers (Keep It Simple Storage) for 200s

@sdscolumbia Nice install. For the hinges, looks like you're using those for the side panels, correct? Wondering if we could apply a similar idea to the sleep platform insert (except put it at the very front instead of in the middle)..
