I just replaced mine. Bought 3 84999-10470 but the bulbs run in series and I didn't account for the blank so they were very very dim. I went ahead and installed an on hand amazon bulb but it was a lower wattage which means higher resistance so they brightened up but still about 30% dimmer...
Revisiting a very old thread regarding wiring harness for console illumination. I came across the part numbers for the harness for a late gen lx470 but it seems to have individual wiring harnesses for each bulb. I would find it hard to believe the LX has a different board for their overhead...
I'm actually replacing them with direct replacement bulbs. I realized that the bulb I took out worked fine after testing it with a battery. I didn't take a pic of the backside of the board but if I take apart again I surely will.
Thanks Kruisinkid. I looked but couldn't find anything abnormal re the solders. I'll tackle the climate control ones and if those don't work with bulb replacement I'll throw in the towel before dropping 60+ on a new board.
I purchased replacement bulbs for the antenna and diff lock, did the swap and still no luck, I then tested the old bulb while out to find out that it worked! So the bulb was never the issue... I'm under the assumption that there is a bad connector pin? Can anyone help me diag this without...
Briefly considered it but not looking to do all the lights and want lumen consistency, just trying to fix what’s broken. Anyway that’s a couple dozen lights between nav, and climate. I believe the early gen 100 uses t4 which is a larger bulb and back lights multiple controls/buttons where as...
Ok... so I’m gonna tackle the diff lock and antenna buttons first so I don’t have to pull the entire climate control out for experimental purposes..
Progress so far:
1. Pop panel.
2. Pull 2 screws from back of switch panel and pry the brown housing from board
3. Dissemble bulb and green cover...
The cruiser has been in the family for over ten years and I can’t recall if these lights have ever been back light? At night they are impossible to see. If they are suppose to be illuminated I doubt there there is a single fuse to solve the issue? Any diagnostic help would be appreciated
