Don’t drive far like that. I just did and caused big time damage. There was so much play I ended up having a CV come out. New spindle, bearings rotor, cv and prob more I am forgetting. I thought, ah just some play in the steering no big deal and drove on the highway for a while.

This it the view I get with my DIY jobby which is not amazing for hitting stuff but way better than without.

got stuck in a dinky stream for an hour and gained some panel damage. Yes it looks like you can drive right out, the ice on the edges breaks and makes a nice little wall taller than 2/3 of my tire.
