    Name the rims ...?

Rims should be your last consideration if you want to buy the truck. They are the easiest thing to change and you will want to cause imports usually have 20 year old tires that need replacing. You can buy anything you want as many 6 bolt rims for Chevy fit the Land Cruiser.

80 Series brake hydro booster conversion installed

Hi I’m curious how that can be “But keep in mind though putting 50lbs of pressure on the brake pedal on a larger bore MC will actually create less brake line pressure than smaller bore MC using the same 50lbs of pressure on the pedal”? Shouldn’t the 50lbs create the same throw but with a larger...

    The official 1HDT Intercooler thread

Mine sat flat on passenger side against radiator and when I installed my IC it fit between the rad and IC. The stock brackets are just hangers made from long flat bar. Only reason I removed it was to run a remote tranny cooler.

The IC kit uses 2.5” OD pipe. It doesn’t say in the description but I just measured it. I accidentally ordered the separate piping kit in 2.25” OD so I have 2.5” OD into IC and 2.25”OD out. The kit was C$233 with intercooler, pipe, couplers and clamps. Jason installed my remote tranny cooler...

The link is the actual one I purchased. It’s the second set of pipping kit I don’t have. Since you loose pressure over the IC you should not use larger pipe and also 2.5” was just tight enough that anything larger would be difficult I believe. I have the original tranny cooler if you want it...

Hi Andrew, I do have the factory winch installed and the only problem was the clutch release handle that I cut down a little. You can see in the first picture that the IC sits just above the solenoid box on the right top of the winch. On the left side you see a short rubber hose sticking up...

If the brake master cylinder is mounted upside down how do you fill the fluid especially when bleeding?

Sounds like you either need to seat the hard pipe further in the couplings or do some trimming to lower the u pipe down. Your intercooler is probably sitting too high and interfering with the latch. I’m glad I ran mine through the rad support rather then under.

    Wholesale Automatics A442F valve body.

I remember the Australian instructions missing a step. I had to take mine apart after installing because it wouldn’t shift out of first gear and only after calling down under did I figure it out.

Considering purchasing a turbo diesel 80 series

HDJ81s are 12volt running and 24v only when starting. Parts are available as they are same as North American except for engine parts but those are available from Australia or some Land Cruiser specialists. I have been restoring my 91 for the last few years. I would recommend you buy a truck that...
