I didn't touch the speakers or the sub. No need to yet.
The Geek Squad guy stated he sat with a voltmeter on the RCA outputs and noticed a change in output voltage as the engine RPMs increased. No real reasoning given. Just the only thing he noticed out of wack. He stated he called their "guru...
I installed the DDX372BT. It's a solid entry level touch screen BT 2DIN.
The LX does only have one sub. Checked it today and corrected the previous post. Sorry!
After a bit of wondering why there is no answer out there about why the RCA to speaker wire hack is not commonly accepted or even...
This may already be up, but this is how I did a Kenwood Bluetooth HU on my '99 LX470. Thanks to member ClubRSX in the clublexus forms. He did all the work. I just found these pics (below) and copied em... I did choose to use the RCA preamps out of the HU to run into the stock amp. Took my time...
I, for one, am hoping the best for ya! I agree with jLB. I'd buy a Harbor Freight Metric kit at the destination. You can always return it if you dont/do use it when you get home! HA!! Double check that the jack tools are there/AAA is up to date. Not wishing ill.. Just boy scouting the possibles.
I'd agree with Camino... Have done the "limp home without tools" thing before.. And ended up with $1200 bucks worth of a hub, axel and rotor at a roadside hold-up.. I mean... repair shop 200 miles from home. (It was a Subaru though..) Buy it. fix it. Drive it.
I love my LX.
Quite a few here in Asheville.. I mean ALOT... like 10 or more 100 series, at least 2 or 3 80 series and at least that of late model lx and 200 series as well. But I am also out driving around the area all day 4-5 days a week.
Funny, I too have never seen one new on the lot here and have only...
Never had the AHC functioning in mine. I'm removing my switch to place a little cell phone pocket in the blank spot. Looks like I have the Strutmaster kit. Not positive. Rides MUCH better than my WRX!! HaHa! Good luck.. I would roll stock as well.. But mine was already done!
After much review of the the "door lock actuator" threads I tackled it again.
Figured out how to pop the door handle lever with a screwdriver and hammer (thanks LCFAQS)
A few things that nobody stated I needed:
30mm Torx
And the "other actuator motor" AKA the one with the copper/brass...
It seems as though the coins had been there a while.. but there is zero evidence of water damage.. I'm thinking it must have been caused moisture build up from the humidity as it has been a NC car most of its life. And as for gold... I still have 3 more doors to check! :)
