First day baselining.....

In the shop today for TB, water pump, and tune up.......

Looks like the PO replaced the radiator because it looks pretty new.....heater T looks fresh as well so I'm thinking they replaced those when the radiator was done.

Belt....

How old is that belt?
I was told the way to tell condition is to look at the "teeth side" for cracks and deterioration.
Fold belt back and look at teeth.

The PO wasn't sure if it had ever been replaced.....could never find the records. Crazy.

The cracks were about all the way down the side of the belt; at least now I'll have peace of mind and can move on to other PM items.

Looks worst on the back side than on the teeth side.
Looks like an old belt by those cracks on the back side.

My 2002 LX470 only has 26,000 miles and by age (14 years) is recommended to be changed.
But, it lived 14 years garaged in sunny California and I think its got some more time on it.
Thinking of waiting until 50K miles and have the belt changed.
