Yep, that second piece, the longer adapter appears to be what I need. That is the factory 1F union correct? Almost looks like a piece of water pipe lol!
My scenario is previous owner swapped a 1977 2F into a 1970 FJ40 which originally had the 1F. Gauge cluster is 1970. Temp sending unit for 1970 is the longer version and will bottom out using the shorter 1977 union. Who has found the proper union to fit a 1970 Temp sender into a 1977 2F...
The last set of KO3's rubbed at full lock, the new Toyo's do not so i take they are not quite as large a diameter. Weight may be different, as well as a little tread pattern difference. KO3 tires seemed to wear out faster than the OG KO2.
2013 200. Had 33" KO2's on and routinely got about 18mpg. Made the jump to some 34.5 KO3's and fuel economy dropped to around 11. Went back to a set of Toyo Open Country RT in 265/70/18 (33.6") and mileage has not come back. Engine appears to be running as well as ever. just serviced all...
Just purchased a 1970 FJ40. Has a swapped in 2F engine. Wiring seems to be somewhat of a mess. Who has tackled a rewire? Is the Painless harness truly painless?
We own 6 different TLC from 1985 60 to 2018 200. I cannot find anyone in Beaumont that seems to understand these trucks and is able to do good work. We really need someone that can do front end work - cv's, steering, lift components etc. Taking my 60 to the Kia store as there is supposed to...
I believe i ran across a mechanics directory a few visits ago, but cannot locate it. I am searching for a Cruiser Mechanic in the Beaumont,TX. area. I currently own 6 Land Cruisers and would like to find someone we can trust to know these vehicles.
Good time to do it. Was the lifting of the engine/trans a big deal or just a few bolts to loosen? We are a boat shop, not a truck shop so some jobs intimidate us on the cruisers.
A few videos on You Tube show that you must lift the engine/transmission in order to get clearance to remove & replace the steering rack. Is this true? Replaced one on a Sequoia a few years ago and was not necessary.
P0441 code. Found rodents had chewed two wires. Cannot locate one of the plugs. They are identical except location of jetway. 11149 and 11156 are embossed on plugs
One other unusual situation. This truck has stock suspension and tires, but speedometer is off by about 7 mph at 70. And tach is not reading properly.Any ideas? Any possible way this could be related to transmission switch?
