Yes, they are made in Japan. As much as I prefer some from the US I do tend to trust Japanese items.
Will follow up here after some more time with them.
Put my second set of tires on this past week since owning. These were at a great price but I found very little feedback from anyone who has tried them. Specs seem to be pretty good. They are definitely one of the more aggressive A/T tires I have seen that are also 3 peak rated. I did find some...
There’s a number of things I’ll give away, but at a certain price I try to sell. I listed mine on eBay right after we bought our 2016 a couple of years ago and a guy bought them for a little over $2k each

The sidewalls on LT E rated Toyo’s is quite a bit beefier. More specifically the black wall made in Georgia versions. Almost all P rated versions of AT tires have milder sidewall patterns.
I’ll be curious what an LT rated version of the Trail looks like. Seems to me it’s not uncommon for the P rating versions of AT’s to be lackluster (upwards of 3/16” difference in tread depth), and often milder sidewalls.
RMR 4x4 in Birmingham Alabama has like half a dozen HE’s and a number of base models as well. They typically ask for a premium but they are good guys. May be worth checking.
