Those should work. There are also 10-leaf versions available, although not as cheap as the 8-leaf: OMIX 18201.02 Front Leaf Spring 10 Leaf Pack for 41-53 Jeep MB, CJ-2A & CJ-3A.
Where did you send them to be upgraded and how much did it cost? Been thinking about doing this to mine or seeing if someone will sell me the parts to do it- if they sent you the itemized parts list needed for the upgrade I would love to see that.
Do you notice a difference in the ride?
Did you weld the drain holes or do you have some sort of removable cap? I would add drain holes with a good sealing plug if it does not. Also, do you keep it outside (use a tarp)? If kept inside, where did the water come from- maybe something leaked and you did not notice?
@DRANGED Yea, I thought my sway bar was hitting the coils but I nailed it down to the sway bar bushings and links being done. I think me adding the lift and relocating the sway bar brought upon their demise. It's 10 year old rubber components, I wouldn't have expected more out of them.

I'm of the same mindset- why fix it if it's not broken? Although, there are still times that I forgot I locked it and try to close the hatch which can't be good for the hinges.
Not sure if it was here or GXOR but I have read of only one case where the lockout mechanism actually broke.
