    This is probably going to be very unliked, but this is just like my opinion man. This is my issue with the LC250

    The LC250 and 6th Gen 4R are essentially the same with one having the 'Land Cruiser' badging and name. The GX550 tho is in another class with the V6 and 9.5" rear axle. You really have to try and break that thing.

    Yeah, I am thinking the reason for no removable roofs is similar to no short wheel base vehicles: safety. I'm not sure what the numbers are for Jeeps and Broncos but it's easy to imagine how more harm can come to someone off-roading in an open-top vehicle than someone in an enclosed vehicle.

    I mean I'm sure plenty of people will buy the LC250 thinking they can build it out like the LC200s (e.g., lift, bigger tires, front and rear bumper, roof rack, roof top tent, fridge, second battery, etc.), which will really push the 8.2" rear axle. The base $64k GX550 is just the better platform...

    You can get a locking rear diff in the GX550 overtrail edition ($69k). The point is the GX550 base model is a better model to start your build with or just generally. Easier to add a rear locker than doing an engine or axle swap.

    +1 hardest/most laborious part is removing the stock air compressor and bracket. Can add an hour or two to the install. Some shops will just disconnect the electronics and leave everything there.

    BFGoodrich KO3

    Tread pattern and spacing is pretty reminiscent of the current ATs on the market (Falken, Nitto, General Grabber, Toyo, etc). I’m tempted to grab the 285/70/17s on tire rack for m my GX but my Falkens are still over 14/32 tread depth. I imagine Costco is going to sell a lot of these KO3s 😂
