Solved-
Almost went nuts yesterday and had to walk away…. Glad I did, i regrouped and started over. Still got same numbers . So I looked at the timing marks on the balancer.. there are three and PO has middle one painted in white. I assumed that was TDC. I rotated engine and used dial...
Yes engine turns over. Actually I turned engine over with gauge in and I can see the pump is stroking. Hmm good call on checking the pump is tag! I did notice some orange silicone where it bolts to the block…. But the mystery still is why it won’t rotate back to its original marks… it’s weird
Ok, so went out this am to confirm what I did yesterday and still the same lift number of 1.14mm maxed out on the slotted holes on the body of the pump… so I decided to rotate it back to its original location since she was running fine before rotation and now the pump won’t rotate back to its...
Hi, I’ve got an 85 bj73 with a 3b that has a rotary pump. Just installed rebuilt injectors and deciddd to check pump timing. I own both the Toyota special timing tool with gauge and also the Bosch timing tool which I use on my vws.. anyway, I followed the Toyota fsm and get 0.10mm of lift with...
I think the winch is the same for the 40 , 60, and 70. It’s the driveshaft and PTO that are different. I could be wrong… this PTO fits a split case transfercase. I don’t know if it’ll work on the 40 transfercase… you’ll have to shorten the driveshaft to fit the 40.
All this info is fantastic!!! Thanks all for the help! So I bought a Hopkins 48847 3 to wire taillight converter and it worked perfectly for the short trip I’ve done with the trailer.. it cost $20. My trailer has combination lights and I’m running leds that are good from 10v-30v. My rig is a...
Here’s a question: those cheap $20 Hopkins 3wire to 2 wire converters; will they work fine? Or do I need a 24v specific converter. Mind you, I’m not trying to step down voltage. I changed all my lights to led 10v-30v bulbs. When I called e-trailer they couldn’t help me. They didn’t even know...
Yes, but that’s the issue I’m having. So
I’ll do this:
Australian to USA
Green-right turn : Green-right and brake light
Yellow-left turn : yellow - left and brake light
Brown-marker: brown-marker
Black-ground: white-ground
Red-brake lights: no red wire on a USA 4 pin.
So that’s the...
So I have a bj73 from NZ and it has the 7pin flat trailer and my trailer has a four pin. We’ll, I didn’t even look at what trailer plug until I needed to use the trailer… so the 7pin actually only has 5 wires :
Green-right
Yellow-left
Brown-marker
Black-earth
Red-brake/stop lamps
So my question...
