3b and crank polishing

What’s the consensus about getting a 3b crank polished? I’ve had it done on some high horse power gas engines and high rpm bikes but I’m on the fence if I should even bother with a “tractor”motor… it’s a pia finding a good machine shop around here that really knows these old Toyota engines… 50% of them say no and 50% of them say absolutely need it… lolol

My opinion is you would be better off getting it balanced. Just my thoughts.

If you want high horsepower from a 3B you'd better stock up on cranks. If the surface is good there's no reason to polish. If the surface isn't good you've got bigger problems.
