Just wanted to add to this as I hadn't seen where anyone had just replaced the whole button. Having done a previous and short lived repair (in which I found fighting the little boots on and off to be ridiculous) I was back to reading the updates from this thread. I see everyone is still...
Matt, are you selling just the pig tails? I already have the corner lights, but have already been ripped off once buying pigtails from Thailand. I would be happy to assemble as well to save some $$ and you the pain of assembly.
Whoa, easy, LOL. I was really just speaking to the previous comment and my own needs. Where I live, you can keep all that radio has to offer, otherwise I might be more into it. I keep a chunk of tunes offline and usually have a packed USB key jammed into the back of the unit for times where...
I'd start looking at second gen, then third. Hell, even the one that was on my 94 Cruiser looked pretty similar. But, please, if you find something, report back.
Totally understand, but it's an option for others whether you particularly like it or not. I like to see at night more that I care about that. Just personal taste.
I run a set similar to this. For the price, it beats the hell out of any sealed beam, even the silverest-super-ultra-white ones, I have spent too much on. Downside is dealing with converting to switched positive wiring and running a hot to the bright indicator on the cluster.
These another option that had yet to be mentioned. IF you are at all interested in aftermarket LED headlights, many have the white/orange halo which, if wired, acts like a modern car with the white halo turning off and the amber halo flashing for a turn signal.
I've read that the 3rd gen motor works and is either still available or at least ten years younger from a model that didn't REQUIRE rolling it down to open the back door.
