All I know is my seq TRD gets like 15 mpg so don’t get too excited about gas mileage with these turbo hybrids. The power however is wonderful any nothing like the NA v6 and v8s that are reliable but very slow.
Anecdotally my guy text me and said the new LC looks like the 24 GX. So I take that to mean similar dimensions etc I was thinking maybe it would be smaller but now I’m really confused as this would surely cannibalize the 4R?
Anecdotally I did. I started down the Toyota path with a quicksand TRD pro 4runner and went down a rabbit hole. Since have had 2 other 4R, LC200, LX570, GX 460 black line, currently seq TRD pro and ordering GX550 now. When I write it all down I feel like I may have a problem.
I was told the sequoia will internally remain the top of line product post LC launch. Seems dumb to bring LC below Seq but it does I guess bring it back towards the roots of a more utilitarian package. My problem is I’m not the old school LC diehard many here are. My LC journey started with the...
Club lexus is trash so if owners post their thoughts and content here this place will get an influx of new owners for better or worse I foresee. This will be a popular truck no doubt. I can’t imagine too many current GX buyers (soccer moms mostly) passing on this new version but I do see many...
Which trucks are we talking here? I mean most base model pickups like F150 or Silverado are going to be 1000 pounds lighter than this. Surely as an LC200 driver you realize all those off road bits are heavy. There’s no special sauce to make a 6k+ lb 4x4 with 33 ATs put up 20+ on the highway...
I can tell you I have a 23 seq pro and it’s rated for like 20 and I am averaging 16 max. Lots of highway miles in RWD (~80 mph) I have about 11k on the clock already. I guess I mean to say that I lost all hope in mpg savings with more advanced Toyota engines lol
It does move butt though when...
I’m blown away that people don’t like this for what it is considering the current climate and what Toyota has thrown our way the last 5 years or more. But that’s what makes life fun.
Had my 5k service today and my guy said time to trade it in and I said where’s my Land Cruiser. He said I don’t think you’re going to like it honestly. That leads me to believe it’s underpowered. Time will tell. Might have to go LX again from here.
It could not be any clearer that the 2024 GX and 2024 LC will share a great deal. The only problem is figuring out ahead of time which one they will screw up less lol
