    GX rear door cutting board/kitchen

Question for anyone using Kayon - does the lip side being up affect the function for you, or do you like the way it keeps stuff from sliding - have a repurposed/DIY idea using these am thinking of trying it lip side down and adding a pull out cutting board underneath. I have something like this...

GX470 Coolant loss with no visible leaks

Mine was leaking from the WP area behind the TB cover, so I saw very minor leak signs at the radiator but nothing that would account for the amount of fluid lost each week. There was a ton of pink popcorn behind the TB cover when I replaced it all. Ultimately it looks like the person who did...

So the remans ended up being so cheap I couldn't find a better deal on an OEM reboot kit to make it worth while dollar wise, not to mention the time and mess. I have an extra CV that I will reboot later on, just to do it. Caveat - I'm not a car guy, I am an internet research guy lololol. And...

    Pump noise on start up

How loud does this climate mixer noise get?m I'm getting a very loud pump sound from the glovebox. It almost sounds like the air shock compressor is suddenly inside the car. I doubt it's the brake booster unless that sudden loudness is a sign of impending failure, I'm used to the brake booster...

New Akebono pads up front, will have to take a looksee at the rears and see where they are at. While doing the pads found my inner cv boot on the driver side is torn all around the circumference at the small end, so that's next up on the list follow by refresshing the grease and rebooting the...

    New GX470!

OEM one is definitely decent - service life gonna be 80k-300k just can't tell, and a new Denso OEM type one may be worth throwing in when you do the TB anyways, based on the overall forum feedback. An all aluminum version runs close to triple the price.

    GX Burst into Flames

That button is right there though, and maybe I'm just a klutz but even though I never use it, once a month or so I bump it and it's 'on'.

    GX Burst into Flames

The inverter sucks anyways, I'm going to proactively remove it now, especially given the leaks that happen in the rear. If you need to use it you will need some type of aftermarket inverter to run anything useful anyways. yikes sorry about your GX JVA - thanks for the post.

    New GX470!

Radiator is likely leaking or going to soon. Many have gone to all aluminum Koyo radiator because the OEM type with plastic side reservoirs will always leak and eventually bust. You can see my build thread for completed and planned mods, nothing exciting or exotic, also check out Dan (GXO)...

    Problem repairing differential actuator

It does get there, but the engaging takes a looooong time like driving 100s feet and lots of turning. Maybe i should try the engage in neutral method, but I thought i had read previously that it finds its way better in motion.

    Problem repairing differential actuator

Man that's a huge big ole thread. I'll have to get into it, my CDL is taking a really long time to engage. Disengages fast, but doesn't want to seem to engage. Have to drive quite a bit and turn quite a bit to get the CDL light to stay on. Tested fine after I did the twist and pull of the...

What Did You Do With Your 120 Today?

Denso reman after alternator failure with no warning. Have a HO, but didn't have all the wiring ready and not sure I can knock it out fast, so once the HO goes in I'll have a lightly used spare on the shelf :|
