    Finboy’s Costa Azul LX 570

Just got back from having the sunroof tracks replaced. Pro-Active automotive in Calgary are always good to work with, under $1300 Canadian for the labour and the sunroof now works good as new. Being able to buy JUST the tracks unlike the 100 series makes this a much better job than the one...

The official part number request thread

Who knows, maybe I’ll just start an official “200 series sunroof” thread to get to the bottom of it. One more parts question, rear wiper motor. Am I reading right that the latter part supersedes the first one? 85130-60240 -> 85130-60241...

The official part number request thread

Unfortunately not many competent dealers around here, the conversation starts with “diagnostic fee then we talk”

SQOD Squad - Stupid Question Of the Day

It’s strange because the 100 series has multiple threads and they have to buy the whole assembly. I assume the process is very similar with some nuances, but there is not a whole lot of detail out there. Lexus won’t even give me a quote without paying a $190 inspection fee, and I’m waiting on...

SQOD Squad - Stupid Question Of the Day

When replacing sunroof guides/cables, is the gear sub assembly (aka motor) an obvious “while you’re in there” or are they usually good to go? https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/6326060160

The official part number request thread

Sunroof is proving to need a bit of adjustment. For my worst case scenario, which of the following do I need, or is it both? From the looks of it the plastic guide gave up, and I can’t find a part number for just that plastic part. Part of me is thinking the 200 series have the cables available...

SOLD PENDING: Calgary, Canada: 2008 Lexus LX570 Costa Azul Mica Metallic 158k miles - $24k USD / $33k CAD

Thanks man, I love it but it seems a waste to only have it to run a couple errands on saturdays. Working from home and moving out to the countryside has basically removed any reason to have a relaxing car to drive because I do so little of it.

SOLD PENDING: Calgary, Canada: 2008 Lexus LX570 Costa Azul Mica Metallic 158k miles - $24k USD / $33k CAD

More details and pictures: The accumulator globes were replaced with OEM units last year, and a Lexus OEM windshield was added around the same time, more details can be found in the build thread. This was approximately July 2024 I have not done the radiator or waterpump, I did inspect the...

SOLD PENDING: Calgary, Canada: 2008 Lexus LX570 Costa Azul Mica Metallic 158k miles - $24k USD / $33k CAD

$24,000 USD / $33,000 CAD - 158k miles. Well folks, I’m considering selling my LX570 as I am working from home now and it just doesn’t get as much use any more. 2008 Lexus LX570 in Costa Azul Mica Metallic over Grey leather. This colour is exceedingly rare, with only 9 vehicles brought to...

    Finboy’s Costa Azul LX 570

Summer wheels are on, Enkei ST6’s in 20x9.5 (et. 30). They required a bit more fender liner shaping (295 55r20 Toyo open country w/ sensor lift) and I pulled off the bora 1” spacers as the offset was much closer to ideal for scrub radius. They are heavy, but I like the look so far. Centre caps...

2008-2018 Radiator Failure and Public Service Announcement

I’m getting mixed messages on whether it is the starter or starter solenoid that is the potential failure point.

2008-2018 Radiator Failure and Public Service Announcement

I’m debating all the “while you’re in there’s” as I contemplate my rad/waterpump swap. A few threads say “replace the starter/alternator” while others focus on the fan clutch, coolant t’s, hoses, and idlers/tensioners. Being in Canada, a new starter/alternator would likely be $1500-$2000 on top...
