2024 LX600 Lag/Delayed/no throttle response when doing a “rolling stop”. Symptoms are worse in sport and sport plus than when in normal mode.
Interim solution - While Lexus is looking into a programming update you can mitigate it by setting your Pre-Collision System (PCS) to the minimum...
I’m in your camp on old school XM usage.
I also wish there were more favorites to save.
I do drive a number of vehicles regularly of different models and makes. The lack of ability to use steering wheel controls to cycle through channels vs cycling theough favorites is a common gap across...
The testing continues. There is no doubt the delayed throttle/transmission response is improved with PCS off. It is improved, but not quite as good, with PCS on minimum distance setting
Also of note - these settings work better in Normal drive mode vs Sport/Sport+. No doubt this means...
Two quick updates on this.
As a refresher, this was solely part of my search to address the lack of throttle response at rolling stops/merging onto busy streets etc. (i.e. unrelated to delayed downshift from 2nd to 1st that 2022 and 2023 model years seem to have)
I have a few hundred miles...
Ok - looks like we are on to ONE of the issues.
1. We know that turning PCS off helps with delayed throttle response at low speed and seems to help make the transmission more reactive to throttle input at normal speeds.
2. We know it has no effect on 2022-2023 transmissions as it relates to...
Ok - I’ll try a few more 4 way stop signs, rolling stops and merging situations. And from what mthe tech told me theyve had zero issues on 700s.
Thus far my 2024 600 delayed throttle response seems to have disappeared with PCS off and better than previous when PCS is set to minimum range...
All,
I'd ask that a few of you test this.
Many of us are experiencing some issues with transmissions. On the 24s it's mostly around lag in throttle response at slow speed (rolling stops etc.) as well as significant lag in downshifting under heavier throttle (unlike the 2023s that have studder...
Mine is a 24 so it mostly suffers the lag at rolling stop vs any significant transmission downshift/jerky behavior.
Worked much better after having the Lexus dealer so a re-learn on the transmission.
Lasted approx 500-600 miles and reverted..
Disconnected the battery for 30 min and it’s better...
Ceramic is absolutely worth perusing.
The over the counter stuff, while somewhat effective, isn't near as effective as the stuff sold by dealers and aftermarket specialty shops.
Always best when car is brand new but can be done later if cleaned and prepared properly.
Costs can range from a few...
Here is the latest from Lexus. I’ll cross post this on ClubLexus and Ih8mud.
Lexus is acutely aware of the delayed throttle response at yield, rolling stop etc. They are holding diagnostic conference calls with their master diagnostic technicians regularly. This issue not only affects LX but...
