I know there are many threads on FJ62 slow power windows.
Greasing tracks, replacing felt channels and several ingenious solutions to replace relays (which I’ll do some day as wel).
Today I found a cheap and cheerful improvement solution for my passenger side front window.
It was painfully slow as it closed from 2/3rds up to fully up.
While cycling it several times, I noticed significant friction between the glass and the forward part of the trim piece attached to the top of the door card.
I pulled the door card and slightly bent the area where the door card meets the felt/rubber window facing trim.
There isn’t a ton of adjustment you can do. Too little and it won’t improve window performance, too much and you can’t put the door card back on.
Also - on the trim piece itself, below where the felt stops, I found that the rubber was protruding and sticking to the window. I slightly sanded that and added a bit of lubricant.
While the window isn’t a rocket ship, it moves significantly faster after these adjustments.
