    Tighe's LX570 - general thread

That's a nice move to get that done yourself. And congratulations on beating the dealer pricing. I'll share my own story in case it helps anyone save time of money. I looked into Tom's Key company and I've only seen good reviews about them. The pricing was about $130 for the fob, and $70 for...

    2008 Key fob part number

I don't know offhand, but are you looking to make a copy of an existing key? If so, the main thing is the FCC # of the existing fob, found on the back of the fob, really small letters, has to match the FCC # of the replacement fob. That is the thing you need to verify. I have a 2008 Land...

    Dog chewed seat belt strap

Oof that looks pretty complex. I may need to just keep stuffing kids in the 3rd row until I can set aside some time to tackle that. I do appreciate the advice!

    Dog chewed seat belt strap

Oh dang no I meant the 2nd row center seat belt. I’ll see if I can edit my original post to clarify. But thank you for this info.

    Dog chewed seat belt strap

Hey my dog chewed the heck out of my Second Row center seatbelt strap. Does anyone have any advice on how to repair or replace it? Looks like this would be the part: Center Seat Belt - Toyota 73320-60070-B1. Do you think this would be a fairly straight forward swap out? Picture of the...

    3D printed seat heater knob?

Sorry for the late reply. I used a dab of 3M 5200 Marine Sealant/Adhesive that I had leftover from a boat project. It has a caulk like consistency so it won't drip, sticks to anything, and doesn't become brittle when it dries.

    3D printed seat heater knob?

Santa brought my son a 3D printer for Christmas. Fascinating machine. It occurred to me that it could print a seat heater knob to replace the Lego block I've been using, if I can feed it the appropriate design code. I'm looking into some online CAD software to try to customize a knob design...

Difference between Land Cruiser and Sequoia? Really.

Are LX570 & LC rotor and brake pads the same parts?

I replaced my pads and rotors a few months ago. No shims were necessary. I think brake pad grease is the only other thing I bought to complete the job.

Any thoughts on getting this back to black?

I totally get what you're saying about the back to black products working for just a short time. However, I had a similar issue with my 2008 and this product, VRP Protectant from Chemical Guys, has been very effective and long lasting. Used it over a year ago and still black. Found out...

Need immediate help: coolant flush question

I wish they had a Haynes manual for the LC200 but you're right. I didn't think about it sharing the engine with the Tundra, and using the Tundra Haynes manual. Off to Amazon I go to order one up!

Can't undo the front diff drain plug..fml.

As mentioned above, repeated heating from torch should work. And Kroil. If that fails, welding a nut is a solution, which a mechanic or muffler or body shop should be able to do.

air mattress for back of LC??

I own a couple exped mega mats and a couple REI camp pads. The exped is a 10 out of 10 for comfort but pricey. The REI camp pad is 9.5 out of 10, and quite a bit cheaper. Plus the Coleman blower fits exactly over the inflate/deflate nozzles, making inflation and deflation a breeze. So to me...

Any tips to remove front diff drain plug?

Totally agree. Propane torch should be enough.
