Check the wiring harness first. I can't really see why the pad itself would be bad, unless there's a short inside it, but that would be rare. More likely it's a short in the wiring harness. My passenger switch also had a spilled beverage, and actually melted the plastic. Ruined the entire wiring...

I finished the job, RY612 on the lock relay was the issue. That was quite a PITA, what an awful area to reach into (don’t do this with a sprained right elbow like I did). Hopefully this thread is useful to someone else going forward.

Thanks for the connector part #'s, much appreciated. There's gotta be a part # for the complete harness. I'll dig through some diagrams online, maybe I can find it.

Much appreciated, I already bought a new switch which i popped in there not plugged in for aesthetics. Do you have the plastic connector that I could re-pin my wires into? Really all I need is the male end of the connector that goes into the switch itself..

If I may, Just took off my kick panel and got a view of this. Photo attached. Did you have to disconnect all connectors? And then it's inside the white panel?

Never seen a better looking heated seat switch in my life, sadly the harness is fried too. Previous owner told me the seat heaters "didn't work.." 2 months later, I pull them and find the fuse was pulled on-purpose, and I found this.... Looks like little Johnny spilled his mountain dew all over...

We already need a madman to cut one of these up and fit a bumper to it, I bet it would look pretty dam good!
