Easy install with removing the front seat bolts and loosening the rear to be able to get the new front bolts in. Hope it helps.
Wanted to update this thread for anybody else who may find it useful. I installed the $30 seat jackers from Amazon my 2011 LX and I would say that for me, it was the best $30 I've spent on it and I wish I had done it years ago. For reference, I'm 5'11" and pretty lean.
Yeah, I've adjusted the thigh support and the tilt plenty over the past 100k miles with various succes. I know there was another thread on here which addressed raising the front of the seat a bit and I'm still tempted by that. I'm sure part of it is just due to usage and miles at this point and...
With the EKR, it's hard to tell in the video, but does it feel a bit more supportive than the factory? Not sure if anybody else experiences this, but I often feel like I'm sliding down/forward a bit in my 2011 LX if I'm wearing jeans. I'm waffling between these or biting the bullet on the Wet...
So glad you "only" had those injuries from an accident of that severity and thanks for sharing the story. Hope you get back to 100% and the replacement LX serves you well!
My AHC pump has given up on life at 170k miles on my 2011 LX. I'm heavily thinking about converting to this setup. I have nothing negative to say about the AHC system though, it has served me very well and my logic is. I would probably be needing to replace the struts on the AHC as one was...
I probably will. Just a case of "but maybe this other option is even better...."
In all likelihood, 285/60r20 Falken's are what I will be getting. I'm a little curious to see if there's much difference in driving vs the 275/65r20's I have right now.
I'm due for new tires on my 2011 LX with about 160k on it. I've had 275/65r20 Wildpeak AT3/W's on for probably around 60k miles now and I have no complaints at all. They've taken me to Utah, Colorado, towed a camper, taken me out east, and many other places. They just started making themselves...
Just as a follow up for all who may encounter similar situation as above, I did a bleed and refill starting with the 5th accumulator then the globes and used fresh fluid from a can. Greatly improved my ride quality, which confirmed that I had air in the lines. It could probably use even another...
I completely understand the desire to make the Land Cruisers work for this, they are wonderful for so many reasons.....but ideal daily hauling for 4 kids, not so much. I'm not sure about using the GX's captain chairs, but I'd be pretty surprised if that could work given the different platforms...
I actually replaced my globes on my 2011 about 2 months ago and have been meaning to add my experience to the thread. It's definitely not a complicated job, just a pain to get the sliders off like previously mentioned. I did have one accumulator that was stuck on and would have been a real...
Just adding info to the pile...my 2011 radiator made it to about 151k. I had been keeping an eye on it for a while and thought I had more time because the crack looked very small. Thankfully, it didn't happen on a trip. Definitely something to keep in mind.
