    LX 570 - Yellow Navigation Screen Replacement - A How-To Guide

Added the tempered glass protector onto the factory spongy plastic touchscreen. Much better response with a glass screen. If you've used an ATM you know how unresponsive those plastic screens are, the LX screen isn't much better. Adding the tempered glass gives you instant response.

    LX 570 - Yellow Navigation Screen Replacement - A How-To Guide

Nice work. If you want a cheap upgrade to the feel of your touchscreen, I found that a 7" Samsung tablet tempered glass protector both offers protection to the screen and a more solid response than the spongy plastic. Well worth a few bucks...

    Lx570, how did I do?

Try Google image searching the VIN and more importantly also checking the online Lexus/Toyota online service databases.

    Lx570, how did I do?

To quote Dementia Joe: Why why why why? Previous owner may have changed them out, or they were replaced after damage. Shoddy work by the auto body shop. LOL! 👍

    Opinions wanted - 2013 lx

I had one of the rear AHC lines on my 2013 LX 570 go out under CPO warranty. These systems do fail, which is also true of aftermarket stuff. This happened at around 50,000 miles. It cost close to $1,000 dollars for the dealer to fix and replace with new fluid and was covered under warranty. I...

    Help me understand the appeal.

https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/another-starter-thread.1036214/ @cruiseroutfit Have you heard any 16+ starter motor failures? Haven't seen any yet. Does anyone know when the part was changed? Both the design and the location of the original starter motor are flawed, resulting in an expensive...

    Rivian R1S vs LC thoughts?

It's an interesting vehicle. Quad hub motors, very good ground clearance and performance. It's been slow going and Rivian has produced less than 1,000 vehicles to date. I expect the F-150 Lightning will vastly outsell it. It lacks the air suspension, but does have 4-wheel independent...

    Next Gen Land Cruiser

Fair enough. Forgive me for being rusty on the codename, I did have to sell my beloved LX 2 years ago as the payment was too high for my budget (made a post about it). It still saddens me. The replacement of the starter motor is not like a normal vehicle and not a simple DIY job, it is badly...

    Next Gen Land Cruiser

Thank you, I did mean 3UR. I do consider a $1,000 repair bill significant. In any case, time will tell the durability of the new engine and vehicle. I'm not saying it's junk by any means, but I do believe it will be less reliable over a longer lifespan (100,000+ miles) than its immediate...

    Next Gen Land Cruiser

Also add, the 2008-2015 2UZ has near 100% failure rate of the radiator and starter motor around the 100,000+ mark. The starter motor is a $1,000 fix that requires taking off the top half of the engine to access. The 16-20 models fixed these two issues (although not, of course, the stupid...

Camoed 300-series caught in the US

Looked at the article again and this is a better angle. Looks like independent rear suspension to me (like current Sequoia).

Camoed 300-series caught in the US

Too dark to tell, but if there was a solid rear axle you might be able to see a glimpse of it behind rear left tire. They should really take videos instead of pics to capture more angles.

Camoed 300-series caught in the US

One thing the renders will be accurate on: The Lexus version will be hideous. It hasn't looked good since 2015. Will they be able to come up with a more ridiculous grille and worse bumper design? I believe Lexus has taken on the challenge of making an even uglier truck than the renders or...
