I hate to see that my original post with those concerns now appears to be validated. I know many questioned what I was told, and I had my own suspicions initially, but given the nature of my discussion with the local service manage while reading the "stop use" Lexus HQ email off his phone, I...
The more I read into recent AHC issues, the less sense it all makes to me. Amazing that with those new components, including the pump, that the dealer can't get this corrected. As you said, it really makes you wonder just what is happening with these AHC system maintenance repair failures as of...
It's things like this that make me truly wonder just how much of an issue the fluid issue is, or if this is just some poorly completed maintenance by a bad tech. The fact that multiple people have had similar issues across different parts of the country make it even stranger to me.
I had a small surgery and haven't had a chance to check back in. My plan was to wait until my 100K mile oil change service and just take it in at the end of August and see what they say. Depending on what part of the country you live in, it may have never been an issue for you. This may have...
Same here if there is a list to get on. I was disappointed to see them out of stock, as I wanted to purchase everything at once, but realize it's a uniquely difficult time for everyone from a supply standpoint.
I took a quick look online at the Porsche dealer ad and saw the price listed. I think it's overpriced, especially considering all the other issues it has experienced, both mechanically and electronically. When I purchase a vehicle, my first priority is buying a solid platform example and then...
This is very interesting on both parts. The southern region Lexus dealers in my state all got the same email from their territory Lexus service representative to not use the current fluid, but other places seem to be immune to the issue? Obviously this situation makes absolutely no sense...
So oddly enough, I actually gave the service advisor the part number for the Toyota fluid, as he was new and didn't seem to be an AHC expert unfortunately. The service director seemed to have all of the knowledge in the AHC realm and showed that the part number for Toyota was part of the no-go...
I actually just replaced a set of Latitudes with Defender LTX M/S on my stock 13' LX570 rims. The Latitudes to me just didn't ride as nice as the Defender LTX M/S, but they perhaps seemed slightly quieter from the short time I had them on. I should note, both are very quiet in the LX, but I feel...
I live in the south and always try to avoid cars north of Tennessee if possible. I would say that for the area it's in, that's not a lot of rust relative to what I have seen on other vehicles. But it's slightly more than I typically see on a southern car with similar age and miles. As others...
Tires look great. I went from the Latitudes that came on my '13 LX to the Defender LTX M/S, so knowing how the Latitudes ride, I can imagine that it is a significant change in noise for you at highway speeds.
Thanks - it's great to finally be a member of these forum and platform!
As for the wheels and tires, the rims are just the stock LX570 rims from the 2013-2015 model years. I have always thought they looked really great for a stock rim, but I think the color tends to pops a little more on them...
If I had to guess, I would say that perhaps those recent AHC issues after dealer fluid exchanges some are describing is the very reason that this situation with the fluid changeover is happening now at Lexus. I would surmise that Lexus possibly, and perhaps suddenly, witnessed a concerning...
