I hear you, after swapping the pump in and out ~5 times I was done. You do get fast at it though haha. I still have my original pump and want to try and troubleshoot it at some point on the bench, but that'll probably have to wait 6 months.
I'm sure some of the other guys can provide further...
Did you mark your gears and clock them appropriately while reinstalling to make sure the same teeth are aligned? This is something I didn't do, nor did I pay close enough attention to the bearing guide orientation. I was able to reassemble it twice, but on the third time I couldn't get any...
I have mine saved in glass - the bottom 1/3 is super cloudy and I'll be taking it to the service counter. I replied to my standing email chain and they've gone dark after more problems are popping up.
When I filled the reservoir I grabbed a funnel that you can modulate the flow with, put a fine...
@runnerxa @Wes Gardner
Nice work, that's the same jelly-like junk that clogged mine up. My errors in re-assembly you corrected with patience 🍻
@runnerxa did you clean the third filter? It's under the large hex on the bottom of the pump housing, the filter itself is rather hard to get to.
I detail the removal here: AHC Pump Fun - Disassembly and Clean - Verbose Edition - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/ahc-pump-fun-disassembly-and-clean-verbose-edition.1254063/page-2#post-13885067
The filter had a bit of a clear-ish grit that is slightly gummy - although it could be the fluid itself giving that quality. I believe it kinda shows on the videos I took initially of cleaning the filters.
If I were to compare it to something - I'd say plasticizer if anyone has worked with...
That is the SAME exact sound my pump made after a flush. I have waay too much content in my thread in sig. Long story short, seems like it was debris in fresh AHC fluid. I cleaned the filters multiple times that are internal, but ultimately replaced the pump to speed things up.
If you do decide...
If it was bone dry, you'd have a low pressure event and AHC errors on the dash. For the rough ride however, you might want to look at a thread from @tbisaacs where he swapped his accumulators. Think you can grab a set from japan off ebay for ~$1k.
That said, doesn't hurt to top off the res to...
Yeah, like I said I got in contact with Longo in El Monte - no service advisories or bulletins for our region. I filtered fresh bottles through fine stainless mesh as a precaution. I'm going to chat with them and email corporate this upcoming week.
