Cool Dad/Son project!!! How'd you decide on a 4 link vs a 3? I like the idea of my landcruiser becoming my kids', but I worry about how awful the on-road manners are. A good yank of the wheel at freeway speeds to avoid something.... and that thing is going on it's lid.

If you're not going to deck the block, don't run a cometic. Too risky that it won't seal. I wouldn't be afraid to run boost with oe head gasket and bolts. Here's some pics and tips if you decide to deck: 1FZ-FE Rebuild - Restoring my FZJ80 from an early demise

Really like them. Recently switched to a 17" wheel due to availability of 37" tires. However, I was very happy with the birddogs. The bead retention lips, extra thick wheel lip and other unique features are pretty cool. I just listed them on craigslist with 345/75 KM2s.
