Agreed, but I half assed opened up the sheathing and couldn't see any bare wires. So I closed er back up and moved it away from the pinch zone for now.
Can someone in the know help me understand why I have a spliced yellow wire in the Maf harness which leads through the firewall behind the glove box and stuffed back in a wire harness? From there I'm not sure where it goes.
Eureka! I moved all the wiring that I could reach in the engine bay one area at a time until I got the fuse to blow 2x. Turns out it was the thick bunch of wires wrapped in heat shield sheathing right between the back of intake and firewall. It was pinched and apparently wore through over time...
Observation. My driveway is on a slight incline. When I pull in and park, all is good. I've found that everytime I back in, the fuse blows when I turn the key to leave. Food for thought.
Same. Disconnected two plugs on drivers side fender and reconnected a few times and I thought I had it. Then outta nowhere blew again when shifting out of park.
