I have a recently acquired 97 with ~89k miles that has developed a leak I noticed this morning after a drive. I wiped it off with a white paper towel and it appears to be oil due to the color but I am not positive.
After doing some searches, I am seeing references to rear main seal or upper...
I use ethanol-free 88 since it is available right down the street. FWIW, I have had less issues with the ever popular gas fumes venting (read none so far but I doubt it will remain that way) using this gas than I did when using 88 or 91 w/ ethanol.
You’ll get used to the gap and it won’t hurt anything. The problem I found with that system is the small strip of adhesive on the vent trim did not like Florida heat. I had the mount come off while driving. Bad prep on my part? Maybe, but I decided to not use it after that.
I have a 2018 200-Series and the wife has a GX550 OT+ and we also live in CO but at 9500’. The turbos on the GX really do shine when driving at these higher elevations. in my opinion, the 200’s 5.7 isn’t bad either but would probably depend on your driving style. FWIW, I still prefer my 200 over...
Having recently transitioned to the DBA rotors and pads, they are still noisy but not as bad as I remember from my 100-series. Huge stopping power improvement over my OEM pads and rotors.
