That is definitely what I should have done originally but I was being cheap and I had the old AWD case sitting there.... I actually used some spacers to keep those two corner bolts. Now I'm trying to figure out a solution I can do in one day and I don't have my own machine shop or anything.

No, because of the way the cavities in the shim and the tail housing line up

Thanks for the reply. I could probably shorten the shaft or machine a better shim, the problem is that it's my daily driver and I've only got one day to fix it
