I had my A440f rebuilt by National Transmission on Griggs. They did a good job and it ran well, but only put about 30k on it before I got the ls swap. I had a bmw transmission rebuilt there too and it held up well.

I have 31s on stock rims, michelin ltx. I had to put caster plates to get caster to around -2 degrees. its great on the highway. i took it for a 2000 mile road trip recently. not sure, but guessing the connect and cruise package sheds ~200 lbs, maybe more overall i am happy with the coils...

I daily drive a TT front coil, rear leaf setup. The ride does not feel that much different from the original iron man leaf, ome shocks i had before, but there is also less weight on the front with the ls3.

I installed a mishi in my 62 without needing port adapters. The ports are shallower, but i just moved the jam nuts further up the thread and everything snugged up fine with the stock fittings. Had this set up for about 2 years without any issues.

A few A440f data points to help you decide based on my experience: rebuild 1: $2500 in 2013 dollars for full rebuild from a 'low cost' rebuilder. The rebuild had issues from the get go, but got bad enough (slipping, overheating) to need another rebuild after 50k miles rebuild 2: $4500 in 2020...

SOR has an aftermarket 12371-61041 for about $70 shipped. Just put one on last weekend. I am not aware of any other options.

If I were in your shoes I would: Do this now: drain and refill the tc with auto trans fluid. Check the fluid level in the trans regularly, filling as necessary until it stabilizes in the normal range. The tc will be overfull, but based on my experience, you can run for years without any...

I would recommend replacing the tc breather if you are going in that deep, as it may be a root cause. My personal experience was I had transfer gear oil getting into my A440F after full rebuilds of both. Just had my tc breather replaced + 2nd trans rebuild. Discussed here: Theory - Extra oil...

I have heard others have the same issue with Discount Tire, but the Discount Tire in my area has installed 2 sets of 31x10.5 over time without any complaints.

This is the part number for the allen key plug with magnet that fits the differential, tc and transmission fill and drain plugs., but not sure if it is longer than the stock, or if it will fix your problem. 90341-18021
