Coolant hose between thermostat and water pump sprung a leak… it’s under the alternator and its mounts. Any thoughts/ advice about replacing? Parts I looked up look much longer than this very short 90(+?) bend. Trying to find the part and protocol. Thx!!!

Yep, but the bash plate keeps it from dropping. I guess I could mangle the strap and pry it down. I may use some temporary prermatex sealant until I can eventually get the body off or cut that bolt. I’d like to run a full tank of gas…

ughhh, I'm back at this and the tank hanger bolt just spins! i think the welded nut for this is entirely closed off from the outside so no getting something on it to hold it. do i need to cut a hole in the floor to get a socket on it? (not that there isn't enough rust holes in the floor already...

That did it Jack! A combo of getting one of the taller gears (every other one is tall) to align with the “2,” removing the mangled “cup washer” (it was putting a lot of pressure on the assembly, prob from mangling it) and simplifying my mileage reading to mostly zeros (105000 is close enough)...

100% Jack! I was at or around 105,399. At this point, that mileage is becoming a badge of honor vs a negative for resale. I’ll be going there as a starting point. Not that I ever plan to sell this thing!
