    1994 FZJ75 -> LSJ75 (build thread-ish)

    Ok swap time. I again am really bad at taking photos during stuff, usually just post stuff to instagram if anything, (same name on there @71harrison come hang). For this I'm just going to write down the top of mind important bits I learned for anyone else wanting to do this. So first off, what...

    1994 FZJ75 -> LSJ75 (build thread-ish)

    Next was build out the inside, add power, heater, and fridge fun. 200ah 12v cheap big lifepo4 with victron controls and 200w on roof, works great. Have the parts for alt charging but never have installed it as it just hasnt ever been needed. HIGHLY recommend the layout with 1 side bench...

    1994 FZJ75 -> LSJ75 (build thread-ish)

    Ok I'm horrible at consistency in posting or documenting but for anyone searching for info on doing a swap like this, I know its way easier if its its a actual thread so here we go. BUT FIRST BACKSTORY & BUILD: So bought a 1994 LHD 1FZ troopy back in 2021, enjoyed camping out my 80-series and...

    What did you do on your 70 series today?

    LS3, i went with "connect and cruise" just to simplify a bunch of issues (and some of the big downsides like loom being long doesnt bug me). At the core of that decision is wanting to swap in a 6L80, the aftermarket ecu support for the 6L80 isn't super mature yet is my understanding. Got it...

    What did you do on your 70 series today?

    Swap progress moving well, just need to finish pulling PS lines, anyone know the fitting sizes on the box off the top of their heads? Need to get some lines made. Doing some little surface rust cleanup from under the old battery tray area and then should get the new setup (ls + 6l80, keeping...

    What did you do on your 70 series today?

    Ah I must've missed that part! With that I might do a bit of cutting and shifting them down at some point. With the Alucab it's got miles of headroom so I don't mind the super high seating position really, means my sun shaded cover the whole road when I need to haha.

    What did you do on your 70 series today?

    Bought some presents for the troopy, fully committed to this nonsense now. I'll likely spin up a thread at some point soon just to document the swap as its both motor and trans (t-case is staying with the adapter). 1FZ-F and H150 for sale soon with all the bits and bobs, ~100k on them (you can...

    Builds Oman -> SoCal 1995 FZJ75 Troopy

    I've chased mine a few times, the orings can be pretty easy to pinch and it'll get a really slow leak. When you go through fixing, if you charge yourself you can pull vaccum and give it a lot longer than a shop would to see if it holds. The automatic machines shops use won't catch tiny tiny...

    What did you do on your 70 series today?

    Until the thread gets going, I'll just add I'm single tank and struggling so I don't think its related to a dual tank issue.

    What did you do on your 70 series today?

    Drove to Salt Lake and back, made sure to swing by Cruiser Outfitters and the Museum of course. Good to see @cruiseroutfit and @cruiserdan! Put the Vintage Air setup to the test on the way out and back, over 100 for hours on both ways. I've been chasing a leak for awhile that I finally think I...
