i snagged a battery tray that’s driver front (I think that’s hzj location?) when I was at Fit but it does conflict with the power steering rez a fair bit. May be workable if you want it
When I ran the aftermarket ac I turned my battery 90 in stock location for ease, probably enough room to...
Traveling for work but when I get back I’ll grab some better measurements to confirm if I’m being stupid risky. I’ll grab some dimensions off the bores to see if a set of ET lugs would work too
Ooooh which Holley kit did you go with? They have some sniper setups that are blow through capable and it’d be fun to fab up a turbo system…
Excited to see how the Holley goes in! Still tempted by the ease LS, could go auto for the wife to be more comfortable driving it too…then just turbo...
Yup and just normal lugs (slightly smaller size since the pockets aren’t huge) the engagement is a bit less than I’d love but right at point of in spec. Enough to feel fine but I’d love some longer studs
~2500 miles in about 8 days for SoCal to Denver and back. Many sites were seen, wild camped the whole way, troopy did great. I will say the carbed 1FZ is a bit of a slouch at 10k+ but hey it did it. I am spending too much time googling LS swaps but maybe EFI and Turbo it? I’ve heard the 1FZ...
s***ty pics down side and others the sun shows it kinda well. I was thinking between the different styles and the steelies were convoy esque and the arvos didnt come in 16 so went this route. Impressed with how good the 17 arvos look, check out @honestmachine on instagram, he did the 17s + big...
New wheels and tires. The XZLs looked cool and I liked the taco spares but 1 inch no name spacers were a bit sketch and the Michelins were SO DAMN LOUD. The Nomad 16s do fit no spacers, just needed to trim the little brake duct thing a tad. Went "reasonable" with 295/75r16s, I think its solid...
Hey you wouldn't happen to have a photo up under the rear bumper of how it mounts up to the frame? Seems that the mounting setup on my kit is different than I've seen on others and wondering if troopy related. Your rig is looking great!
Been waiting for this, watching on instagram. Glad its working well! Seems like a fun kit to throw on. Wondering if any fuel economy bump? Only concern is reliability out there compared to a carb setup, wonder if you could keep it as a spare if whole thing crapped out.
Joining in the XZL gang, could not agree more on the thoughts above. Loud as hell, need to swap.
Also per the comment of fur and breeds, avoid Goldens as well haha, damn furry little creatures. He loves to sleep up in the AluCab, so now its furry too.
Yup! I added an entire Vintage Air kit to mine. Honestly not a bad install, but depends on your comfort level. You end up replacing the entire heater core with their assembly. There are a lot of classic car shops that are used to them as well and can help out. I ended up making my own lines...
When I swap them in I'll end up with spare slider/ handles most likely! I'll see what I can send your way @FJBen !
