If someone else finds themselves in a similar situation, I ended up using a generic hard-plastic battery tray from O'Reilly's with lots of options for mounting bolts and stacking wide fender washers underneath to level and raise the tray to make the battery fit securely with the OEM bracket. I...
Not sure they'd work (mine is up against the radiator support). More importantly, I only have a week with the car before it goes in storage, so I don't want to wait on shipping.
I bought an OEM battery bracket/tray and I just realized it won't work with the spot for my auxiliary bracket without modifications (pictured below).
Is there an alternative bracket and tray I could get quickly/locally? My existing auxiliary bracket is a crappy design and keeps crushing...
Hi, all.
Anyone around Akron successfully program master keys/remotes? I have two master keys for my HZJ105 (red key light goes off), but I follow the guides here and can't seem to program new ones.
Truck was heavily modified before I got it, so there could be a technical issue. I'm just...
I'm about to put my diesel 100-series into storage for at least two years. The truck will be in a storage unit; I'm not sure if it will be climate controlled yet, but I doubt it. I'll have a relative to check the truck and run it occasionally, but it won't be driven any significant amount. I...
Well, originally, my cruiser didn't have a cabin air filter, but I found a door behind the glove box when I was doing some rewiring and assumed it had been upgraded. However, it was way too shallow for filters I got. I send a pic just to confirm they're right for your truck.
Anyone near Arlington need a 100-series Denso brand cabin air filter? I bought one from Amazon thinking it fit my cruiser, but it didn't and I'm outside the return window. I'm in the process of moving and swamped, so it'd be best if someone could come by the Clarendon area... Reply and we can...
I ended up getting terminals and connectors from Cryptic Engineering in Australia... Corsa Technic also had terminals. I bought plenty of extras to practice crimping.
However, I got the A/C compressor hooked up and I'm still getting nothing from the A/C. Is there anything I should test...
Thanks for all the info. When I started hunting for this part, I wasn't even considering the possibility of swapping another connector pair including generic connectors a la Deutsch Connectors. For what it's worth, it was the other end that broke. I think I found some in stock...
Is there a...
I have a 1998 HZJ105. Somehow, an electrical connector for (I believe) the A/C compressor came loose and one end was eaten up by the belts. You can see the bad end on the green wire. Apologies for lack of a better picture... I'm not with the truck at the moment. I'm pretty sure it's...
Hi, all.
I have a 105 that I've brought back from overseas, and I'm looking for a place that understands Cruisers--particularly 80/105s--close to Brevard and can do a quick turn on work (I can schedule in advance, if needed). I know I'm undersprung in the rear, and I'm pretty sure I need new...
I've been pretty happy with the mods themselves, but I've regretted how I've executed them. My truck came with a nice Ezee-Awn roofrack with a stowable table. It's a great rack, I liked the table, and I was a little wary of removing it as a (then) 4x4 noobie. When I bought an Alu-Cab rooftop...
