I bought an OEM battery bracket/tray and I just realized it won't work with the spot for my auxiliary bracket without modifications (pictured below).

Is there an alternative bracket and tray I could get quickly/locally? My existing auxiliary bracket is a crappy design and keeps crushing batteries when tightened down. Doesn't have to be perfect... Just something that won't ruin the battery. My plan was to get Menard's size 24 marine/RV battery, but I can do another if it makes things easier.

Sorry for not researching this better... Running out of vacation days and I'm fishing with my kids today.

Not sure they'd work (mine is up against the radiator support). More importantly, I only have a week with the car before it goes in storage, so I don't want to wait on shipping.

If someone else finds themselves in a similar situation, I ended up using a generic hard-plastic battery tray from O'Reilly's with lots of options for mounting bolts and stacking wide fender washers underneath to level and raise the tray to make the battery fit securely with the OEM bracket. I reused the threaded rod/J-hook from the previous custom bracket and a random piece of metal. It worked out pretty well as a quick fix, but it took lots of trial an error. Not super pretty but it works till I have time for a better solution.

Big lesson for me was don't start with a battery and figure out a bracket; buying the set is the ideal.
