I'm about to put my diesel 100-series into storage for at least two years. The truck will be in a storage unit; I'm not sure if it will be climate controlled yet, but I doubt it. I'll have a relative to check the truck and run it occasionally, but it won't be driven any significant amount. I have 12v dual battery setup with a conventional starter battery and a deep cycle battery to run accessories. My plan was to install some kind of battery disconnect for convenience's sake, but I don't know if I would need some kind trickle charger, too. Is there anything else I should consider?

Lastly, I'm debating replacing the shocks and springs for one last trip. The current ones are toast. Would it be dumb to let new shocks and springs sit?

I think I would put it on blocks. Also, some form of rodent deterrent in the storage unit. If you have power then I would hook up a trickle charger. If not, I'd just disconnect the battery.

I would remove the batteries completely and leave with a friend or a shop on a trickle charger. They will get destroyed in a storage unit, with heat and not being charged for 2 years. I second the notion of rodent poison in the storage container. I would replace the shocks/springs down the road after you see how well the truck survives the storage event.
