IH8MUD is a Great Resource for all thing LandCruiser related. I ended up with this rig. https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj45-class...1964-fj45-swb-project-cummins-4bta-wa-st.html

I'm sure I will have several question regarding the building of my 1964 FJ45 SWB. I will post them up as time allows me to work on the rig.

I'm looking for specific pictures of the rear cab mounts on the tub as well as the frame. My rig is missing both. The mounts have been physically removed from the frame as well as the cab itself.

I searched several threads and it looks like the rear cab mount staddles the front spring hanger of the rear leaf spring.(?)

I found a glimpse of the tub mounts in Gumby's build thread. The bottom picture of Post 39 shows something and top picture in post 181 shows something. His frame pictures shows the frame mounts stadling the rear springs front hangers. (?)

Please, as you time allows, could you post up pictures of the rear cab mounts and the frame mounts?

Thanks

Should be a fun project.

I can get some pics later today.

Here are a few pictures of the area.

It seems in front of the spring hanger is where they crack when the rigs are used heavily. I'm assuming the frame was cracked and welded up. I will be grinding it out to make sure it was taken care of.

Hey Dan nice score!!!

What is the VIN#, the rear cab mounts are different between the fixed top and remove-able top models, the cabs are a bit shorter on the fixed top models. Could this 45 have been a fixed top?

Here is a photo of the frame from the blue FJ45 SWB I did a few years back. Has all the stock cab mounts.

Dan, looks like you have a fixed top frame, the 2 holes foward of the rear spring hanger are the original rivet holes. If you look at Pauls photo the mount was right on top of the rear spring hanger. No big deal, you just have to do your own mounts.I have some partial 45 frames with some of the mounts, they are fixed top frames so it doesnt have the correct rear mounts, but it has a few bed mounts and the front cab mounts.Let me know if you need anything,or if your up this way come get them,I have been holding on to them for too long! Looks like another fun project!

Dan, Does this picture help you out?
Original SWB Fixed top frame.. But removable top cab on the fixed frame. You can still see the original rear Fixed top cab mounts on the frame.

YOu need the mounts you have pictured earlier in post #7. I re-used my old mounts just notched em to fit around the spring hangers. Then used FJ55 Body mounts in the back of the 45 cab.

Here are the mounts from my truck. I think you should be able to modify the mounts you have or swap them with someone.

So did you have a different frame as well? It looks like exactly what I would have if I had those frame mounts.

In theory. Yes. I have exactly your setup. Pulled the fixed cab and installed a removable cab on my frame.
