I’ll spare you the dramatic details but a divorce is forcing me to cut my cruiser fleet in half. This means the LX450 has to go. The FJ62 might follow but I’m hoping not. I have combed MUD, BAT and FB and the pricing variance is wild. I am aware that this is a bit of a unicorn with its mileage and build but I’m also realistic. I also HATE Bring a Trailer. I’d much rather sell it to a MUDder or on FB. Help me with your best guess on pricing, please!!!! More pics coming asap.

My use case is backcountry hunting rig and a DD. I have kids, dogs and have taken this thing deeeo into the desert and mountains. This is not a restoration but a utility-first truck. The exterior is pretty nice but I use this truck as intended.

1996 LX450
Dark Emerald Pearl
101,000 miles, previous owners in Texas and CO.
Exterior: A- Great paint as I had the hood painted due to Texas sun fade. No rust. A few dings and minor scratches but no dents.

Interior: B- (aftermarket seats, crack in dash, back seat shows wear, D doesn’t light up, etc) but generally in good shape with lots of upgrades.

Triple locked, all lockers regularly exercised and working.

Rust free body, some surface rust on frame before I had it dry iced and coated last winter because idiots use Mag Chloride here in the winter. Exhaust system is rusty but fully functional.

Magnuson Supercharger professionally installed at ~97,000 —at that time, new head gasket, hoses and radiator were installed preventatively.
Landtank Orange Fan Clutch
Safari Snorkel for colder air

4.88 gearing professionally installed.
Icon 2.5 suspension with remote reservoirs installed with Delta Radius Arms, Drops, Icon bump stops and ALL the Delta trimmings by DVS in Boise.

Landtank DC front driveline
WKO Sliders
Slee transfer case skid plate
ARB front bumper w Warn winch
Kaymar rear swing out bumper
Slee DBA brake kit
16” Method Wheels
35” Toyo AT tires with 90% tread
Depo headlights
Garmin Power Switch controls USB, CB radio
Gamviti roof rack still in its crate. Will install prior to sale.

INTERIOR

Scheelmann drivers seat
Corbeau passenger seat (black—will install with plant it bracket this week)
Aftermarket stereo
Delta center console
Delta tailgate storage
Delta Dash Cubby Insert
Scan gauge
Weather tech floor mats
Delta cargo barrier, window panel and gear loft.
Dobinson rear drawer system.
Midland GMRS CB radio

Work needed:

I’ve never had anything close to a breakdown with this rig. Not even a flat.

Nothing needed but the trim on the drivers door is loose enough that you can pull it a bit but not loose enough to rattle.

Passenger mirror rattles. Currently have some foam tucked in but a Solve Function kit would be great.

The Dobinson drawers came from my FJ62 and new wings would need to be cut to custom fit,

Exhaust and cats are 100% functional but the surface rust really stands out and drives me nuts.

Charcoal canister may need replacing. I have a Dorman GM replacement and might even get it swapped before sale. No performance issues, just exterior fuel fumes on occasion.

I’d add a reverse camera of some sort.

The winch at 8k isn’t really sufficient in my book but came on the rig.

I’ll add more as I inspect.

Beautiful rig, sucks you have to get rid of it but hopefully everything works out for the best.

Hard to really price it as its low miles and far from stock. Anything short of an auction always will leave you wondering if you could of gotten more if that's your main goal but I understand the hate on BaT.

Yeah, this might sound ridiculous but it's more of a space issue with my new place. If I leave a little bit of scrilla on the table to sell to a good person from MUD or locally, I'm okay with that.

Long story short, I used to work for a PE group that was interested in acquiring either BAT or Cars and Bids. What I learned wasn't awesome and made me hate that scene even more.

Just throw a price out and let people bite! If you are in a hurry to sell it, you're probably not going to have enough time to find the niche person who has the cash and understands how hard it is to find a low mileage 80 and wants the same mods you installed. I sold a cruiser with almost all the same aftermarket stuff you have including the schelman seats and console and all that but it had 222,222 miles when I sold(because of divorce!) and it took me a while to get just over 32 for it. Having really good organized receipts and showing dollar value for the aftermarket stuff made the sell when the buyer came to see it. And about a year or so later it sold on BAT for around that too. I'm sorry you're losing her brother. I think you should do your best to keep her though. Or sell her to a friend for cheap and buy it back after!

@Idaho Savage

Im sorry you have to let her go!

From the sounds of it youve pretty much built my dream rig!!! Would you happen to have a detailed set of pics of engine bay, interior and comprehensive set of pic of the frame/underbody and any areas/rust areas that bother you??? (You seem detail oriented, as am i, hence my wording - i mean no disrespect with my wording, just a little back handed humor). Thanks!

Ha, that’s flattering. I’m actually not super detail oriented but I’m putting a lot of effort into noting everything I can because I live in BFE and anyone who is interested is going to come a long way, most likely.

I’m getting the truck detailed on the 17th and I’m planning a full on shoot afterwards (I’m a photographer). But I’ll snap some quick and dirty shots tomorrow for you if you’d like.

It is a sweet rig, no doubt about it.
