Just wondering who will be going to broken arrow , and if there is plans to go run something else after we get done with broken arrow, I just got my gearing done on my 77 fj40 and need to break it in right.

Seth

I've wanted to run Soldier Pass.
Broken Arrow is worth the trip if only for the views. If you don't mind the
crowds, that is. We only saw about 2 dozen rigs, most of em tour Jeeps,
when we ran it. I think it was back in September/October.
But for pure beauty, it's hard to beat Schnebly Hill Rd.
Hell, just going to Sedona on blacktop is worth the trip, IMHO. Just ask
desertdude. :)
And even though I graduate that Friday, I can't get Sat off (already tried
:'( )

Sedona trails on Sat. will be hectic (full of tour jeeps) but still can be fun... The views at the end of broken arrow are well worth it. Even though Schnebly Hill rd is an easy climb, the views are killer. At the top of Schnebly, 6 miles up you can head to the right on the basalt trail, which hugs the edge of the rim for a bit before making its way into the forest. The start of that trail makes for some fun bolder hopping. The rest of the trail is pure basalt rocks. (the views at the top of the rim are stellar).
This day happens to be the birthday of myself and my girlfriend, she will be stuck working till 5:30, but I have time off and will be in Sedona on this day :)
I was hoping by now to have in my hands and installed the new Orion transfer case. Due to the install of a weber carb, and the OEM gearing my cruiser has issues bouncing up rocks. But I am always up for a challenge ::) and would like to meet the faces

I'm going and as a matter of fact my friend is leading it for the TLC club but has only done it once so I will be giving him a few pointers.

d-dude- Thanks. I think it's a horned lizard of some sort.
rush- The hat was free. :D Someone stole my Toyota hat. :-\
And, IMHO, any run that a member is doing is an official run.
And this is where you hear about it. :D

well i just may have to run up then,,, if some of the "new gang" will be going :)
yup, thats a horny toad (reptile not guy in hat) :flipoff2: and its a good thing you kept your distance from that snake, its a mojave green, very potent venom, maybe the worst of all the AZ snakes.

After a day of wheeling in Sedona at various trails ( such as it is here ) :'( I want to throw out a suggestion.

A few significant others and some LC owners not yet on this board, are having to work that day and would like to meet up in the evening. I thought it would be fun to meet up at the very top of Schnebly Hill Rd. Once on top, head hard right, up the basalt trail to the edge overlook, around 6- 6:30. I would be more than happy to get a head count and supply food and beverage for a social evening while watching the sun set over Sedona. Chime in with any other ideas.

DD where is the top of Schnebly Hill road from Sedona. Just trying to plan a return time. I have done the sunrise on Schnebly and it lights up like it's on fire. I'm sure sunset is just as good. Sounds like a great way to end the day.

It looks like I will make it but I will more than likely have the Wife, my 8yr daughter and dog along. Anyone else bringing the troops?

Phil
