Just ordered some Bilstein 4600 Series Heavy Duty shocks tonight. These are the ones listed for stock height, although some people have stated they will work with up to 2" lift.

I kept seeing different part numbers listed and it took me a while to figure out what was going on. It turns out Bilstein has revised its part numbers.

Below are listed the old and new numbers. They are only slight changed, but hopefully this will help prevent any confusion in the future. Note that many vendors still use the old part numbers.

OLD ......................................NEW
F4-B46-1477-H1......................24-014779 front
F4-B46-1478-H0 (or H1)............24-014786 rear

Does anyone know if the valving/design is the same between old and new part numbers?

I was going to order from AutoZone, but when I went to check-out, the site said they were no longer available. Then the choice was between AJ USA (cheapest by $50, with coupon, but said it would take a week or two to ship), Tire Rack (more expensive), Off Road Warehouse, 4Wheel Parts, Summit Racing, and a couple other online places that were no cheaper. I went with 4WParts, gambling that they will be here by the weekend, as 4WParts has a warehouse not far from me. It was $300 with tax.

i just ordered the same shocks and was confused by the different part #'s too. I got mine (4 shocks) from parts geek online for 323.00 at the door. gonna install them today hope they are sweet considering my present shocks have now lost all their oil and no longer leak anymore.

It looks like Bilstein has changed he numbering system for all their shocks, not just these. It does not appear that anything about the actual shocks has changed.

I just ordered a full set (front and back pairs) from Don's Sport Vehicle Sales in Perry MI for $271 shipped !!! Best deal I could find.

How did your purchase from Don's Sport go? Any issues?

Can anyone confirm if these will work with a 2" lift? My shocks are toast and need to be replaced but I can't afford shocks and springs right now. So I was hoping to buy some of these through my work now then get springs towards the end of winter.
