Part number for CDL switch?

That's the correct part number for the newer style dash layout. Should be described as 'switch, centre differential lock' on the parts guys screen.

The older style CDL is definately 84725-60010 and the newer one 84725-60040 (84725B is a bulb BTW). On the EPC I have they use the same picture for both (just checkd with a 94 VIN and a 97 VIN). I've used both part numbers and got the switch I expected :)

The rotary axle lock switch (84725A) is 84725-60020 for old and new.

...and the newer one 84725-60040

Just yet further confirmation :D - I have my CDan invoice in hand for the later model style center diff lock switch sitting in my garage and the part # is most definitely the one above :)

OK, here's the fax he sent me:

Odd how both the rotary knob and CDL have the same part number

He went ahead and ordered it for me, so we'll find out for sure by tomorrow

Those are not part numbers and they are not the same. They are Part Name Codes and they point to the appropriate part of the text to look up the part number by application.

The PNC for the center lock switch is 84725 and the F/R switch is 84725A.

US catalogs do not show the 95-up center switch because it was never used in this market.

84725-60040 is correct for 95-97 and it aint in the catalog.

D-

OK, I guess I answered my own question lol

Tore her open to install the switch and the wires weren't long enough to reach lower slots :o

It looked as if it would barely make it if I unwrapped all of the electrical tape, but I always like a little slack in my wiring, so I ended up extending the wires a few inches

Gunna do the 7-Pin mod tomorrow while the bird is in the oven ;p

Had some other projects over the weekend and wasn't able to get to the 7-pin mod until today, but now I'm kicking myself for not doing it soon enough

This mod is a MUST!! :D

Now I can make tight turns in Low Range without binding up the drivetrain

I just did this mod myself last week and agree it is worth it big time!
