Sweet. Now also consider the option to lock down or remove the sides and gate so it'll be useful as a flatbed too.

IMHO write a build thread up on this offline and then sign up for a ROTM spot coming up. When the day arrives, clip in the writeup and have yourself a great post set. :steer:

I am proud of his build. He took an idea and made it work.
drop down sides
removable sides
removable rear hoop
wiring tucked up nicely
fenders mounted securely
signal lights tucked in
rear window protection.
all supports gusseted
2X8 treated lumber

yah, i feel some pride in his work.

pics of where he is noon today:

Man that's cool. (good thing, I *might* want to do this in the future)

Is it a mixture of Aluminum and Steel? Looks like Aluminum on the bed, and Steel for the sides?

Any estimates on weight, and a rough cost would be sweet.

Dan

I really like it!
show us more!

Mitch shorted the frame for better departure angle, this is his wheeling replacement DD so it needed to be able to be useful for both applications.

the rear bar is removable.
the side fold down sides are removeable.
the deck is all steel and 2 guys can carry it easily ... without the wood floor installed

i will leave the rest of the comments up to Mitch to fill in.

personally, it looks very Aussi looking.

Hello Mitch,
Congratulations! You now have a unique vehicle. I hope it provides you with practical transportation, as well as off-road entertainment. Hats off, mate.

Cheers, 61Mk+

By the way, Mitch: that's money well wasted.

that sucks!
What're the plans?
What're Swamp Buck's current diff ratios? Maybe it's time for an upgrade!

he is running 4.10 and is installing a lokka locker as the replacement center unit goes in.
he is on a tight budget and the truck works well with the tires he is running so ... for now ... it will remain stock gearing.

<i hope he figures out how to log in soon so he can start telling his own stories>
