What is your intake manifold vacuum (inHg)?

How much do you get when properly tuned, idling?
Toyota specifies minimum 15 3/4 inHg

What do you get?

:hhmm:

21

:D

But the motor has less than 5K miles on it...

:)

LOL !

That's cutting to the chase !

how about you just say what yours is, and we avoid beating around the bush.

Sorry dorcom, but I laughed at brian's comment.

I don't know mine. Never have hooked up a gauge to it. Hoping to change that soon. :)

I am at 16ish, should be higher. my BMW that I just rebuilt the engine 30k ago is at 21-22ish but I doubt the cruiser will ever be that good.

It depends...altitude, cam, timing, valve lash all affect vacuum.

19-21 at idle. 25-26 when off the gas coasting downhill. Less (much less) when standing on the skinny pedal.

Vacuum

Pretty much inline with Lugal on my gauge readings.

I have a vacuum gauge installed. I have 20- 21 at idle at sea level. Goes down at altitude. It's approx 18-19 at 4000 feet. At 60, at sea level, on flat ground no headwind it's between 12-14.

Thanks for the adult* answer!
You're like me! Vac gauge installed

That is about what I get in the Bay Area (sea level) 20-21 @ idle.
Have yet to climb up a high mountain to see what's it up there.

Ranger, Can I drive up Mt. Shasta? I got 4 wheel drive!

Thanks again.

*PS Some seem to confuse vac (inHg) with phallus length. Oh well a male thing...

Ehm, my dick in inches/Mercury? Or my "bush" sucking power?
You confuse me, man!

Thanks for the "to the point" answer!

Me too! ROFL!
See my reply to him...

19-20 at idle at 800' elevation.

Vacuum SUCKS!

Dyno

So if I'm at 16 with timing set right on the BB then I need to be finding more leaks...better get back to the bat cave!!
