A gas cap that fits

Someone asked for this and so I thought others may benefit...
This is the gasd cap I found at National Auto for my 66 FJ40. It locks too!


UPDATE 7-20-06
I just checked back with the Yelm National and they said that PartsMaster has changed. That part number would now reference as a Stant # 10587. I haven't got over there to look at it and compare, but they said it should be the same...hth

Amanda, you scored big on that one! I finally gave up on finding a locking cap to fit my '40. Tried a later filler neck, but the bend was different, mounting was different, so I cut the newer one off and welded it to my old filler neck. What a bitch, but it is done and it locks. You saved yourself a lot of trouble there. I hope it was not the last one available.

Will it fit.. most likely. Will the a 76 fuel door close with it on, probably not. I don't really see a need for a locking cap with a locking door (although the locking door isn't really difficult to enter.

You can still get an oem cap from the dealer for $7 I can't find my post with the part #
Here it is.. 77310-35010 cost me 7.05 at the dealer (NON LOCKING)

Bought a discontinued NOS OEM locking cap (77031-22041) for my 45 and it didn't fit. It will work for my 73 FJ40 though.

45 filler is larger if I remember right...

Interestingly the 11725 was too small for my '69. Went back and got a 11640. I called toyota and they wanted $19 for one! Thanks to this thread I knew to go to Pepboys.
