I know this was posted sometime back, but it is 11 pages of must reading of how not to design your custom lift, suspension or steering linkage.

Scary Steering

WOO HOO!!! I made the list!!! My late night hack to get the truck to the show actually made the scary steering list. That rocks!!! I cant believe he didn't even mention the shock shafts that were welded for extra length or... well, I'll keep that to myself. If I knew then what I know now......

BTW, steering was redone.... :flipoff2:

1/2" heims with a nut welded inside 1 1/2" black pipe. All welded with a stick welder. The "hy-steer" arm was some 5/8" flat stock I had laying around cut with a grinder with a cutoff wheel. It got me the 12 miles there and back to the show. I ain't ashamed.
