unOFFICIAL Wheels and Tires Chat Thread

Let's see what you got on your rigs!

Wheel name
Size
Offset
Tires name and type
Tire size

Show off what you are running and this will also be a good tool for people to get ideas for their trucks and suggestions!!

Since it seems like there is an interest in this thread I have renamed it to a more appropriate description.

Not to rain on your parade, but there's easily a dozen similar threads. A few people post, the thread loses interest, it disappears, someone starts a new one a year later.

Look through the photo thread, a lot of people will put what they're running in the sig line. Search specific to the 100 section for "tires" and/or "wheels" in the thread title.

Is there something specific you're looking for? You can find almost any wheel/tire combo on here, or asking for something more specific might get you pics of what you want.

Well I went through the whole picture thread of 100s, 99% of people have stocks on with different finishes. I was looking at black rims whether gloss/satin/flat with some lip to
Them. 18". Off roading type so preferably stronger than your usual allow.
My question is what's the offset, and hub centric size I should go?
Also are the stock wheels 8" wide.
Sorry I just bought mine 1 week ago so I'm a total noob haha

There is a reason 99% of the 100 owners keep their OEM wheels. OEM are forged (vs. cast). Also, in most cases, aftermarket wheels look silly on Toyota's flagship vehicle.

Yup, as previous 80s owner, i never managed to find a decent set of wheels.....ok i'll keep on looking...thanks

I think there are some really nice aftermarket wheels that look great on our rig. My favorite are these:

There are also some less expensive options out there. The biggest issue for me is that as Pfran pointed out, the oem wheels are really well made. Also, if you do any real off-road, you are going to eventually scrape, gouge, and generally bang up the wheels. I just cant see myself droping extra coin on aftermarket wheels if they are going to start looking like crap after two or three trips. I do like seeing more and more people putting them on though. I think it is good for us all around.

How about some 17" steelies....can anyone tell me if these would work please?!
Also how about 2000LBS MAX load rating?52 Rock Crawler Series - Gloss Black Powder Wheels by Pro Comp

You might want to consider 18" Tundra steelies. Quite a few people on here run them. I think they look great painted black. You can find a set of take-offs in Atlanta for $150 on Craigslist.

Not sure if I like the looks of those. My stocks look better haha.

Anymore suggestions?)

Hard to beat the stock ones. You can paint them any color you like. A lot of guys are running stockers painted with Graphite Dupli Color. I really like that look.

Nobody has mentioned the most obvious choice yet so I will. Run a search for 'TRD Rockwarrior' or 'Rock Warrior'. Those are my favorites but I haven't found a set reasonably priced yet.

The Rock warriors are 18", OEM Toyota (Tundra), forged aluminum not cast. Very handsome wheels in my opinion. Dark gray centers with aluminum colored faux bead lock rings.

Edit: ****they are 17" OEM. I knew that, I guess I just had a brain fart****
