Finally got around to wiring the light bar. I figured since I am planning on two more sets in the bumper and a set in the back I should go ahead and set up a fuse block.

I used my old license plate to create the bracket :) Thanks AZ...

Mounted into the wheel well and on the bracket for the K&N.

The fuse block was pretty simple. The lights have their own relays and I want to be able to use them with the trick off so I didn't use a relay to the fuse block.

Switch is in front of the shifter where I'll have room to label and put the other 3.

I haven't aimed them yet, but I'll try to get some night shots tonight. I ran the wire down the track in front of the rack foot and down the edge of the window in the deep dark gap there :)

More things looking good... Did you install the carbon fiber looking trim in your interior where the wood grain normally is?

I did replace all the wood with Carbon Fiber, the wood was looking haggard in a few places and carbon fiber is so much sexier :)

I wired all 12 to be used whether the truck is on or off. It would suck to have to have your truck on to use the utility lights.

I can always install relays on individual items in-line if need be.

Nice job keeping the wires out of harms way. Looks really good!

By not having a relay in front of the fuse box will that drain the battery at all with the lights off? I'm trying to the the electric stuff but it's tough since it seems like there can be so many different paths to the same end. I actually don't even really know what a relay is.

BUT I love your truck, LineX body is awesome and love the light bar. Very nice

If you can do a relay, I'd suggest it so that your fog lights, etc will shut off with the truck

Are there any good write ups on electrical systems in the cars? I've always wondered how people run fridges and so many other accessories without draining the battery and how all that works with the second batteries and such. I'd like to be able to do it myself but not until I know a lot more.

Yeti i know the rigids are lower amp than standard hid lights but are they low enough to mount a 40" and and three others on the same block? Forgive me if thats a dumb question.

Also...night pics please?

My Rigid Dually lights (a set of two lamps, with four LEDs per lamp) came with a 5amp fuse in the harness. The two Duallies are an equivalent of 4 inches of the 40" light bar (which is 2 LEDs high and 40 LEDs long).

The following graphic shows the difference between the Dually lights and the 40" lightbar. Each "*" represents one LED.

** ** <---- Two Dually lights

**************************************** <----One 40" lightbar
****************************************

Simple math shows that my Dually lights = 1/10 of the 40" lightbar.

I hope the 40" lightbar doesn't require a 50amp fuse (5amp x 10)...

No matter what, I bet that thing turns night into day!!

I believe the 40" is like 14 amps or something and i bet they include a 20 fuse in the harness forthat one. I guess im curious as to how much the fuse block can handle simultaneously. I read one that would hand up to 20 per channel (6chhannels) but total load couldnt go over 30. I wouldnt want to have to worry about blowing fuses and catching things on fire every time i turned on an accessory.

So the washing machine is 10 amps, my rigid is, 12, the microwave is 20, the shower pump is 4, escalator to rtt is another 15. Now i have to decide what i have to turn off so i can turn on the 60" plasma that folds in thirds and comes out of my tailgate..:flipoff2:

My 6-channel blue-sea says that it can handle a total of 100amps continuous through the fuse block.

I doubt that you'll use the shower at the same time as the RTT escalator...

But you better be carefull while using the foot massager and electric blanket w/ the plasma TV and surround sound :flipoff2::flipoff2:

You got a write up on how your fuseblock is wired? with relay would be nice haha

You guys forgot the kegerator!!!

The lightbar does not throw nearly as far as my 8"HID's on the Tundra, but I'm also not planning on any 110 MPH runs down the roads in Mexico, Maybe 80 mph :) It puts out a great dispersal of bright light. The outer 8 LED's have flood reflectors and all the others are spots.

Here's some night pics:
