Not sure if I'm going crazy or if the fuse block on the drivers side kick panel is missing a cover that tells me what each fuse goes to? I have dug around and can not find a diagram that points me to what fuse is to what?

Anyone have a picture of the actual fuse box diagram or a screen grab of the FSM that will help me out?

Thanks

Zane

Meant to look in the FSM last night, got busy. There's got to be a diagram in the owner's manual.

EDIT - yep, owner's manual.

Took me 5 minutes with Google. If you don't have an owner's manual you can download a PDF version of it pretty easily.

Now I feel dumb..:frown: That was too easy!

So for my next technical question. With not having Active Height Control on my rig I would assume that tapping into the following fuse locations would be a decent place to do so if needed.

24. AHC- IG 20 A: No circuit
35. AHC- B 15 A: No circuit

Second question is does anyone know what the difference is between the two?

Can someone answer this question as well! I will be needing this info!

Up to 9-2000:
The 15A AHC-B is straight off the battery, through the 100 A block on the terminal. I.e: unswitched, continous +12v supply.
The 20A AHC-IG is switched by "ignition-on", through the Ign No.1 Relay, which is fed by the 80A AM1 fuse.

There is also a 50A AHC fuse which supplies the AHC pump through the AHC-Relay.

Good to know uHu, thanks man!

so if I add another cig lighter, which one would be a better place to use? The 20 or 15a location?

If you want the lighter socket hot at all times, use the 15A; if you want it off when the key is removed from the ignition, go for 20A. Unless you get a high-end lighter assembly 20A is about as much as I'd expect...OEM lighter and power sockets are fused for 15A...lighter on its own fuse and the 3 outlets on the other fuse.

Thanks for the help man! Now I just need to find one of the so called "high-end" lighter plugs that you mentioned

Thank you for the good information.

I just realized that my cigarette lighter outlet (more centered port up front, without the plastic cover) is not live. my power outlets are live, or at least the one in center console and outboard outlet up front.

According to Trunk Monkey, the cigarette lighter fuse also covers stereo and power antenna, which are working. What up?

Resurrecting an old thread, as I have the same problem: the left power socket is dead, but the right one and the one in the center console are both live, and it appears everything else is working.

Was going to dig in this weekend but thought I'd see if Pablo found a solution.

I would crack open the dash and check the connections. I had a broken one in my 4Runner from what looked like an overload on the socket.

I don't remember! Last I thought about it I thought this outlet was switched power. Now I will have to check...

The cigarette lighter socket is switched power. The power outlets are also switched and on a separate circuit that can be converted to always on per the jumper mod as outlined in TLC FAQ.

Make Your Power Outlets ALWAYS On
