Alan Podvin here the maker of the crazy Lexus open top Buggy, the 100 series ute back on 37's, the air suspension turbo 80 series, and the V8 Lt-1 corvette 80 series
I have 2 new creations anyone have any guesses what I did to them?? 1 is based on a 100 and 1 was a '03 4 runner.
Neither trucks body is intact
Neither trucks lift has ever existed
Neither truck has a stock motor
Neither of them have a tailgate
Both have over 300 HP
Both have winches on the back
Both have 20" wheels I know you guys love big wheels!!
Both make funny noises when applying the gas
One can tow and one can go
I think Both are world firsts
Depending on response I will either unveil them here or at the rising sun meeting November 1st and then maybe Pismo (only a maybe for pismo) have to work
Here is your first clue -hoping to give some motivation to others doing or to starting new projects and share the fun that we have had making our cruisers

duramax

Looks like a duramax in a 100 series? or a 100 series over a duramax? Or a Ford F150 or Focus with a duramax?:)

A record must have been broken with all those fuses

Gimme!

yes a duramax in a 100 you are correct

a good close up of the duramax it has a 6.6 with allison and a few banks goodies and monster intercooler . Here are few more pictures to see if you can guess some more of the 100's modifications, enjoy the suspense!!
In case you are wondering, the reason I am doing the unveiling this way is
1) I think it brings a little fun to the I h8 mud forum
2) it gives me a chance to thank my wife Susan for her patience with my many hours in the garage
3) It gives me a chance to thank Christo Slee for supplying parts in hopes you guys will all call him for your land cruiser parts, what a joy it is to live near the BEST land cruiser parts seller in the nation!!
4)Darren and a few others inspired me via a web list and web pictures years ago so maybe I can inspre others to play a little more in their garage via this web list
5) let people know what can be accomplished in their 2 car garage
6) maybe a few more people will show up to meetings and events to see the rigs for themselves hope to meet you all there!!
now for the good stuff--see what you can guess from the pictures

The duramax will have more go than the new v8 diesel from toyota, well it is a 50% bigger engine!!

I pulled up the Lexus Buggy the other night to show my fiance' and she had the gall to tell me I wouldn't do that to my 2006. She may be right, but let's see these!!! Gotta have more.

 maybe we will work backwards on concept to completion if people are interested. We didnt know if we could pull it off. No one made harnesses for the duramax and it has all kinds of anti-theft devices on the chevy and we didnt know if it would even fit when we started. Also we were working 10 12 14 hours per day no time to post but if anyone is interested in a step by step I have photos all the way back. anyways back to the game any guesses anyone- ;) ;p :flipoff2:

With that banks package I'm sure that puppy is throwing down some nasty torque!!! I see a little shimmer of a well finished bed as well. What banks package is with the 6.6 btw?
